Ludo was a precision watchmaker of photography, a researcher who never stopped experimenting. For Montreal, he wanted to break free of the studio and its minutely adjusted levels, but he ended up bringing most of his studio with him, he knew no different.
Each picture is the result of hours of preparation in a city where the temperature is frequently -30°C, with a frozen Macbook and numb fingers. Sometimes we got a single image in a day.
Ludo passed away too soon, he still had so much to teach us. This book bears witness to our friendship and the pleasure we felt when he arrived at the studio with such rare enthusiasm. I loved you, Ludo.
